Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms & Conditions ("Terms", "Terms and Conditions") carefully before purchasing or using the Matrimony.dev source code, scripts, and associated documentation (the "Software") operated by Matrimony.dev ("us", "we", or "our").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing, downloading, or deploying the Software, you agree to be bound by these Terms. This agreement is governed by the Indian Contract Act, 1872 and the Information Technology Act, 2000. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access or purchase the Software.

2. Software License & Usage Rights

Upon successful payment, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software based on the tier purchased:

• Standard License: Grants you the right to deploy the Software on one (1) domain or production environment. You may modify the code for your own business use.
• Extended License: Grants you the right to deploy the Software on up to five (5) domains or production environments owned or managed by you.

Strict Prohibitions

Under no circumstances are you permitted to:

• Resell, redistribute, rent, or lease the original or modified source code.
• Provide the source code on public repositories (e.g., public GitHub/GitLab).
• Offer the software as a "white-label SaaS" where you sell the codebase to third parties.
• Extract internal logic (such as matchmaking algorithms or customized Excel seeders) to sell as standalone packages.

3. Strict No-Refund Policy

Because the Software is a downloadable, digital intangible product exposing the complete proprietary source code (Node.js, PostgreSQL schemas, Prisma architecture), all sales are final and non-refundable.

Under standard digital goods exemptions, once the code has been delivered/downloaded, we cannot revoke access or verify the destruction of the intellectual property. Therefore, we do not entertain refund requests for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Lack of technical knowledge to deploy Node.js/PostgreSQL applications.
• Server incompatibilities or third-party API (e.g., Brevo) changes.
• Changes of mind or project cancellations after purchase.

By completing the purchase, you explicitly acknowledge and waive your right to a refund. Please read the feature list and technology stack carefully before buying.

4. Intellectual Property

The Software (including but not limited to its UI themes, Prisma database schema, and overall backend architecture) is the intellectual property of Matrimony.dev. Purchasing a license does not transfer ownership or copyright of the codebase to you.

5. Limitation of Liability

The Software is provided strictly "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Matrimony.dev shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Software. This includes server downtime, data loss, security breaches, or legal liabilities arising from the data of the users registered on your deployed platform.

6. Developer Support & Customization

"Priority Dev Support" and "Free Basic Customization" (applicable to Extended License holders) are subject to fair use. Basic customization covers minor aesthetic tweaks or simple field additions. It does not cover building entirely new core modules (e.g., adding video calling or mobile app development). Support is limited to the functionality natively present in the Software at the time of purchase.

7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

8. Hosting, Deployment & Infrastructure Costs

The purchase of this Software strictly covers the digital delivery of the source code and database schemas. You are solely responsible for deploying the platform onto your own servers or hosting environments.

• While we may provide basic installation support to help you successfully configure the Software, we do not pay for, cover, or reimburse any server costs, hosting fees, domain registrations, or third-party infrastructure expenses.
• Any recurring expenses related to cloud providers (e.g., AWS, DigitalOcean, VPS providers), email delivery services (e.g., Brevo), database hosting, or SSL certificates are entirely your financial responsibility.
